Choosing the right school that meets the needs of each individual child is important. We are honored that you have chosen Shepherd of the Hills as a consideration.

Initial Inquiries and Visits

Mrs. Ashley Kennedy, School Admissions, and the entire staff are here to answer any questions. You can reach the Admissions office via or phone (210) 614-3741. We welcome you to visit the Shepherd of the Hills campus through:

  • Personal Tour While walk-in visits are welcome, we recommend scheduling a tour. A personal, one-on-one tour can be scheduled Monday - Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. for school (pre-kindergarten through 8th grade) and 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. for child care and preschool classes.
  • Open House Every January, Shepherd of the Hills hosts an evening Sneak-A-Peek open house for prospective and current families. You will have the opportunity to meet teachers in their classrooms, tour the campus and learn more about our enrichment and extracurricular programs in a self-guided manner. The 2017 Sneak-a-Peek is scheduled for Tuesday, January 24th, from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.
  • Previews / Curriculum Nights In a smaller, more intimate setting than Sneak-a-Peek, teachers will present curriculum and enrichment information from 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. A question and answer session and mini tour will follow. The dates for 2017 are listed below.

February 15th: pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades
February 22nd: 3rd, 4th, 5th, and junior high (6th - 8th grades)

  • Shadowing Opportunities Students inquiring about fifth through eighth grades are welcome to experience the life of a Shepherd Ram through a full-day or half-day shadow. Shadow visits typically occur on Wednesdays and must be scheduled in advance.
